Welcome to the Talwandi Jattan website

This site is dedicated to the progress and development of a small village in District Hoshiarpur in the Northern State of India. The name of the village is Talwandi Jattan and this is the village where my Great Grand Father S. Gian Singh Bharaj and both my Grand Father S. Hari Singh my Grand Uncle S. Mohan Singh were born.

It was in 1999 that my Grand Father took me -- Ayman Jot Singh -- and my younger brother -- Guran Jot Singh -- to visit Talwandi our ancestral village for the first time. I was 10 years old at the time and my brother was 8.

My Grand Father, who had returned to village after many many years, was shocked to see that the village was still in the same state as he had left it almost 50years ago. He was very sad to see that the school he had attended so long ago was still in an ancient state -- the children were still sitting on the ground and under the trees...
